We are re thinking the way we deliver our service to you, our valued clients, and in particular how we communicate the costs of the work we do for you. We have taken up the challenge to progressively introduce a system where we provide you with an estimate of the cost for our services and out of pocket expenses after an initial meeting with you and once we have sufficient information to determine what work will be undertaken. If circumstances change during the job, we will let you know and re-estimate To do this, although we will take time into consideration, we also take into account the following range of factors, which were previously used, but to a different degree;
- the skill, specialised knowledge and responsibility required
- urgency to complete matter
- value or amount of any property or money involved
- complexity of matter/issues
- number and importance of documents prepared or perused
- time expended
Communicating with you is of high importance throughout from the point we receive your initial instructions until the matter has reached completion/conclusion. It is also important that we both understand and appreciate what work we will undertake and the result we hope to achieve. You will be provided with an itemised job description at the commencement of the work, clearly outlining what we will be doing for you. As the work is carried out we will provide you with copies of relevant correspondence to enable you to gauge progress, or telephone you with details of any significant developments. We undertake to provide you with our terms of trade, the job estimate and job description in a timely fashion after we have all the required detailed information. We believe that this change will be a significant improvement to the service we offer you and should eliminate any surprises regarding costs at the end of the jobs we undertake for our clients. Your feedback on any aspects of these changes is always appreciated and will assist us in improving the service we provide you with.
