Below is an extract from the Kidney Foundation newsletter regarding our recent fundraising breakfast.
"The team of friendly and fun staff at Burley Attwood Law from
Tauranga, held a lovely breakfast last month, which was kindly supplied
by Nikki Burley and Michael Attwood, Partners of the firm.
Every staff member made a donation towards the purchase of a DVD
player, complete with screen, for the CKS Mobile Dialysis Unit (Camper
Van), used by families who want to travel, but still need to dialyse. The
team thought that watching a good movie would be a great way of relaxing
while dialysing.
Sam’s mum and dad used the campervan early this year and toured
the South Island. “They had such a wonderful holiday”, she said, “I
haven't seen my mum so happy and excited in many many years. It was
great for both of them and to have the comfort of being able to dialyse
whilst on holiday without having to return home after two nights to dialyse
was perfect. "
Burley Attwood Law have held fundraising breakfasts for different
societies on a number of occasions now, “It’s a great way to help out and
we challenge other companies to do the same, it’s fun and the difference
it makes no matter how small or large, is great.”
