Kelly has lived in Tauranga all her life, attending Tauranga Girls' College. She began her career in the legal field at Douglas & Haycock in 1995 and obtained her Legal Executive Certificate in 2003. Kelly works alongside and assits Ani Bennett, Brian Jones and Kavita Suri-Clark.
Kelly is an avid scrabble player and particularly enjoys camping at Te Kaha, Fletcher Bay and spending time at Whangamata, Hihi in the Far North and Kawhia.
